Computational Fluid Dynamics Lunch & Learn

On Tuesday, September 22, 2015 one of Bristol Harbor Group, Inc.’s (BHGI) naval architects, Annie Fisher, hosted a lunch and learn and presented computational fluid dynamics (CFD) results of a BHGI designed ATB unit, 120′ tug, and multiple oil barges.

BHGI was contracted by Conrad Industries to develop the design of the 361’ x 62’ x 24.5’, 55,000 BBL double skin tank barge.

On August 3rd, 2015 the RTC 25, a 26,000 BBL oil tank barge designed by Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. was launched at Senesco Marine where it was built. 

Modifications to the NASA Barge Pegasus

Erik Huber from Schottel came to Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. on Friday, August 14th to host a lunch and learn. Schottel specializes in the development, design, production and marketing of azimuthing propulsion (z-drives) and maneuvering systems for vessels of all types and sizes.

Johann and Fin from Rapp Marine hosted a lunch and learn at Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. (BHGI) on Tuesday, July 21st. They discussed some of the latest projects that Rapp Marine is a part of, such as cranes and winch systems on board tugs and barges and the work they are doing with the research vessel industry.
