Special Purpose Barge

Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. (BHGI) was hired by a defense contractor to design, build and deliver a deck barge capable of meeting the U.S. Navy design data sheet for surface vessel stability (DDS079-1). The barge, NERWIN, was to carry a high value cargo, and had to operate in several unique transport evolutions. BHGI designed the vessel and contracted to have it built at a shipyard in Texas. BHGI was responsible for the design, construction, transport and delivery of the barge to the owner.
