Cutchogue Fire Rescue Boat

Misc. Vessel

In 2008, Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. was contracted to provide design and engineering services to Curtis Marine, including hull design, expansions and lofting. Two designs included a 28’ fire/rescue boat for the Cutchogue Fire Department and a 31’ water taxi for Fire Island.

The fire/rescue hull is 28’ long, has a 10’ beam, and draws 1’-5” with the outboard engines up. The vessel has 10 degrees of deadrise at the transom, and is powered by twin 200hp Honda outboards. This was the first modified deep-vee produced by the builder, and performance was outstanding in the steep chop often encountered on the Long Island Sound and adjacent waters.
