BANK GRADER UNIT

In 2019 Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. (BHGI) was tasked through an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Philadelphia District, Marine Design Center (MDC) to provide naval architecture and marine engineering services to develop a contract level design for a 130'x70'x12' drag line barge, the Bank Grader, for the USACE Mississippi River revetment project. BHGI revised the existing bank grader design to incorporate a specified ring mounted drag line machine and optimized the barge hull to suit the mission. In 2019 and 2021, BHGI attended ship checks of the current bank grader to obtain the necessary information for the replacement design. BHGI provided a contract design package the meets the American Bureau Shipping (ABS) class requirements.
